Foundation & Early Years
Lagelu Grammar School in Ibadan was founded by the Ibadan District Council on January 27, 1958. It was established as part of a larger educational expansion programme. The founding principal, who led the school for its first 10 years, was Chief Ayo Labiyi.
From its early days, the school has been a pillar of educational distinction, producing alumni who have excelled in governance, academia, business, and public service.
